A chip swap is a special service we provide to replace the dependent exposure system relying on button cell batteries and convert to a new, reliable and independent exposure system with our customized PCB that works independently through the main power of the AA batteries. The "chip" regulates a consistent 2.7 voltage (factory reccommended for all) which is superior to button cells batteries because of the inability to lose charge and as a result- constant proper exposure. 
 
Most cameras that require button cells batteries for the exposure system can qualify to be replaced with a 2.7 volt chip regulator that fits within all button cell battery terminals relying solely on the main AA power replacing the need for the inconvenient button cells.
